Todoy starting at 10:30 a.m., IPM ESSEN will serve as a launchpad for the leaders of tomorrow. In the New Congress Center East (Ground Floor, Room A), industry experts will present a variety of exciting and unconventional career paths within horticulture and share their professional journeys. The forum is specifically designed to provide students and graduates from horticultural colleges and universities with inspiration for their professional orientation.

Program Highlights:
- 10:30 a.m.: Welcome by moderators Marc-Guido Megies (BHGL) and Christoph Killgus (Verlag Eugen Ulmer).
- 10:35 a.m.: Marc Heeren (Floragard) discusses his career path and daily work.
- 10:50 a.m.: Sascha Schoblocher (Klanz Plantcare) explains why the next career step often involves leaving one's comfort zone.
- 11:05 a.m.: Corinna Klein (German Federal Horticultural Show Society) outlines how to get to know the entire green industry.
- 11:20 a.m.: Alexander Frieman (Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences) shares his story of moving "from large to small trees".
- 11:35 a.m.: Konstantin Lang (Gartenbau-Versicherung) reports on transitioning from pot plants to claims management.
- 12:00 p.m.: Following the talks, there is an opportunity to join the BHGL guided tour of the fair for career entry.
The forum is jointly organized by the Association of University Graduates/Engineers in Horticulture and Landscape Architecture (BHGL), the Garden Industry Association (IVG), Messe Essen, and the horticultural editorial team of Verlag Eugen Ulmer.
