The award is organized by the European Nurserystock Association (ENA) in cooperation with nursery associations from 13 European countries (including Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Sweden). A presentation of the innovative nominees is located directly opposite the booth of the Association of German Nurseries (Bund deutscher Baumschulen – BdB).
The nominees are flagship projects demonstrating how urban challenges—such as heat islands, fine dust pollution, and heavy rainfall—can be solved through the strategic use of trees and plants. An international jury evaluates not only the aesthetics but, above all, the ecological benefits and the innovative strength of the projects.
